1. Introduction

We recognize the importance of protecting the privacy of the personally identifiable information you provide to us in connection with your use of the websites, services, products, promotions, mobile applications, and software applications owned, managed or provided to you by us or on behalf of us (collectively, the “Sites“). We may provide some of these services, products, and promotions through the websites, mobile applications, or software applications of our clients, advertisers, service providers and other affiliates (collectively “Affiliates”).


QuSe created this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) to help you understand what information we collect (whether personally identifiable or not), how we collect it, how we use it, how we share it, how we protect it, and how you can control it.


Our Sites may also include links to third-party websites, products and services. This Privacy Policy only applies to our collection and use of your information within our Sites. Any linked websites, products and services of third parties, and their collection and use of your information, are governed by the privacy policies of the respective third parties. We encourage you to learn about the privacy practices of those third parties.


2. Updates

Our Services may change from time to time. As a result, we reserve the right to update or modify this Policy at any time and from time to time without prior notice. If we make any material changes to the way we process your Personal Information, we will notify you before such changes are effective. If you object to any changes , you must cease using our Services. We recommend you review this Policy periodically. This Policy became effective on the date indicated at the top of this page. Your continued use of our Services after any changes or revisions to this Policy indicates your agreement to the terms of the revised Policy.


3. What information do we collect?

(a) Information You Provide

If you choose to participate in certain activities offered on the Sites (such as registering an account, surveys), we may ask you to provide us with what is generally called “personally identifiable” information (such as your name, email address, telephone number, profile picture). In addition, you may have the option of providing us with certain demographic information about yourself or your household (such as age, gender, zip code, and state).


There may be other occasions not specifically identified in this Privacy Policy when we may ask you to provide us with personally identifiable information. However, it will always be your decision whether to provide us with your personally identifiable information. In some cases, if you decline to share such information with us, then we may not be able to provide you with certain services.


All comments or materials submitted by you to QuSe through the Sites, including without limitation, feedback, testimonials, images, reviews, questions, comments, ideas, or suggestions (collectively, “Feedback”) shall be received and treated by QuSe in accordance with our Terms of Use.


(b) Information we collect as you access and use our services

When you use the Sites, open one of our emails, or interact with our products, promotions, and services on our Affiliates’ sites, we may use technology (including web beacons and cookies, pixel tags, unique device IDs, user IDs, and log files) to automatically collect information including:


  • Application activity (such as searches performed and features accessed);
  • Web browser type and other device attributes;
  • The website that referred you;
  • The web pages you viewed;
  • Your IP address;
  • The dates and times that you visited or used the Sites;
  • Location information; and
  • Advertising identifier associated with your mobile device.

Device information: When you download our Quick Service App software, on your computer or other device, we may collect and store information about that device that helps us manage our products and services, deliver a more customized experience for you.


Contacts: You can invite others to join our platform by providing us with their contact information, or by allowing us to access contacts from your mobile device. If you allow us to access your contacts, we will transmit information about your contacts to our servers long enough to process your invitations.


Cookies: When you visit a Site, we may store one or more cookies or other similar information on your device. We use both session cookies and persistent cookies. A persistent cookie remains after you close your browser and may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the Sites. These persistent cookies can be removed, but each web browser is a little different. Please review your browser’s Help menu to learn how to modify your cookies setup and how to manage your cookies.


(c) Information from use of our mobile applications

In addition to other information described above, when you download or use one of our mobile applications, or access the Sites through a mobile device, we may receive information about your location and your mobile device, including your operating system, device type, and device advertising identifier. Please consult your mobile device’s instruction manual for additional information about controlling system and application settings.


Push Notifications: We may send you push notifications based upon the service request you placed using our mobile app. To ensure you receive proper notifications, we will need to collect certain information about your device such as operating system and user identification information.


4. How we use your information


We may use information that we collect from your use of the Sites, any information you provide when you register with us, and information provided to us by third parties as follows:


  • Operate, maintain, deliver, and communicate with you about the service requests;
  • Improve the way the Sites work and look;
  • Improve our marketing and promotional efforts;
  • Provide you with a personalized experience on and off the Sites (such as recognizing your system so that you will not have to re-enter information during your current or future visit to the Sites) by using information internally;
  • Create new features and functionality;
  • For non-marketing or administrative purposes (such as customer service purposes); We retain all information we collect about you for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

5. When we share information

We may work with Affiliates and other companies to operate, maintain, deliver, and communicate with you about the service requests. In such circumstances, those companies will have access to the information needed to provide the applicable service, but they will not be permitted to use the information for any other purpose. In addition, we may share information as described below.


(a) Personally identifiable information

We may share personally identifiable information with our Affiliates or other third-parties with your consent or as part of a specific program or feature in which you have chosen to participate, in which case we authorize those Affiliates or third parties to use your personally identifiable information in connection with the specific program or feature. As another example, you may be given the option to register with the website of one of our Affiliates. If we manage the website for the Affiliate and you choose to register or sign up with that Affiliate, then we will share the information you provide with that Affiliate. In addition, we may use your personally identifiable information for the purpose of obtaining associated non-personally identifiable information from third parties, but we do not permit those third parties to use your personally identifiable information for any purpose other than providing us with associated non-personally identifiable information, including cookies.

QuSe does not sell or share user personal data with third parties for their direct marketing, except with users’ consent.


(b) Non-personally identifiable information

We may share non-personally identifiable information (such as age, gender, zip code, state, and other automatically collected information that does not personally identify you) with our Affiliates and third parties for marketing and promotional use.


(c) Exceptions

We may share information about you if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with local, state, or federal laws or to respond to a court order, judicial or other governmental subpoena or warrant, or in the event of bankruptcy proceedings. We also reserve the right to share information that we believe, in good faith, is appropriate or necessary to take precautions against liability, protect us or our Affiliates from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful uses, investigate and defend ourselves against any third-party claims or allegations, assist government enforcement agencies, protect the security or integrity of the Sites, and to protect our rights, property, or safety and those of our Affiliates and others.


6. Data Retention and Deletion

We will retain your Personal Information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services and to maintain a record of your transactions for financial reporting purposes. We will also retain and use your Personal Information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.


Users may request deletion of their account through the Profile menus in the GrubTok app. Following an account deletion request, we delete the user’s account and data, except as necessary for purposes of safety, security, or compliance with legal requirements, or because of issues relating to the user’s account (such as active posts which user can directly delete before deleting the account).


As an alternative, users can also request account and data deletion by submitting a ticket using the link Report Issue


7. Registration via Google and other third party accounts

You may be given the opportunity to register with us via Google or any third party accounts. We may collect and store the information you provide us through such accounts (including personally identifiable information) with any other registration information you provide us. Please contact us directly at the contact provided below if you wish to terminate an account created through the use of a third party.


8. Our commitment to data security

The Sites may use various physical, electronic, and administrative procedures to safeguard the confidentiality of your personally identifiable information. Additional security measures, such as Secure Sockets Layer (“SSL”) or other technology, will be used if you engage in financial transactions on our Sites. However, as no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us.


9. Our commitment to children’s privacy

Protecting the privacy of young children is especially important. For that reason, we do not knowingly collect or maintain information from persons under 13 years of age, and no part of our Sites is structured to attract anyone under 13. If you are under 13 years of age, then please do not use or access the Sites at any time or in any manner. If we learn that personally identifiable information of persons under 13 years of age has been collected on the Sites, then we will take the appropriate steps to delete this information.


10. Special note to international users

QuSe currently operates only in the United States, regardless of where you use our Services, the information collected as part of that use will be transferred to and maintained on servers located in the United States. If you are a consumer accessing the Sites from the European Union, or any other region with laws or regulations governing personal data collection, use, and disclosure that differ from U.S. laws, please be advised that through your continued use of the Sites, which are governed by U.S. law and this Privacy Policy, you are transferring your personally identifiable information to the U.S, and you consent to that transfer. If you do not consent to this transfer, you are advised to discontinue the use of this site and our services.


Depending on the User’s location, data transfers may involve transferring the User’s Data to a country other than their own. Users are also entitled to learn about the legal basis of Data transfers to a country outside the European Union or to any international organization governed by public international law or set up by two or more countries, such as the UN, and about the security measures taken by QuSe to safeguard User’s Data.

11. California Residents

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) is a privacy law that grants California residents new rights with respect to their personal information. This law is effective January 1, 2020.


California residents may request that QuSe:


  • Disclose the sources, categories, and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about them, how that information is used including the purpose, and with whom QuSe shares it
  • Delete their personal information
  • Disclose, for any “sales” of personal information under the CCPA, the categories of personal information collected and sold and to what categories of third parties it was sold
  • Opt them out of sales of their personal information (if any)

California residents may not be discriminated against for exercising any of the rights described above.
